This page is intended as a portal to help provide those who are new to the Locked Tomb Wiki or Fandom itself (or both!) with some relevant links and information to help them get started in editing and contributing to a wiki.
New to The Locked Tomb Wiki?[]
The Locked Tomb Wiki is a young wiki! Though it was created on 26 July 2019, it was adopted on 28 August 2020 with only about 10 pages (all of which were stubs!). As such, it is very much in need of passionate editors to get it off the ground.
Where to Start?[]
- Begin by reading! Take a look at some of your favorite characters' pages and get a feel for what the wiki is lacking.
- Check out the Project Masterlist! Take a peek at what needs doing in the community.
- Jump into Discussions! Post your theories, questions, and polls to the community discussion page.
The Policies and Guidelines can give some guidance on what type of content should and should not be added to the wiki, and it is recommended that new editors take a glance before too long.
New to Editing on Fandom?[]
So you've only ever looked at Fandom wikis and now you're thinking of trying your hand at editing? Awesome!
Where to Start?[]
- Begin by reading! Fandom wikis are an encyclopedic reference resource with a bit of a unique tone. If you aren't familiar with the way wikis operate, it might help to look around a bit longer until you get a handle on how the articles all work together.
- Check out the Fandom Community Central Help Desk! Fandom's excellent staff have arranged tutorials on everything from creating an account, making your first edit, to advanced editing guides.
- Particularly helpful pages include:
- Begin with small edits! If you're nervous to begin, try starting small by proofreading an existing page—correct spelling and grammar, add details, or rephrase wordy sentences.
- Alternately, GO LOUD! Make a new page, take on a stub, or expand a sparse category of an existing page. The wiki thrives on those who are willing to generate large chunks of content.
